Ground Floor
The sitting/dining-room with a beamed ceiling and window seats, has two double-seater sofas arranged in front of an inglenook fireplace, complete with gas-fired stove, providing a comfortable seating area with all the ambience of a real fire, but without the fuss. There is a flatscreen TV with Freeview and integral DVD player together with an extensive DVD collection for all ages. An oak dining table comfortably seating 4 is complemented by a sideboard and chest containing an array of board games and toys to while away those rare days when you don’t fancy venturing out. There is also a book collection to suit all, including books of local interest, or if you enjoy listening to music, take advantage of the ipod docking station.
The well equipped kitchen benefits from a high beamed ceiling and travertine flooring. There is a ceramic hob range cooker with two ovens, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave and kitchen table, large enough to seat four, ideal for a kitchen supper, or a hearty breakfast to set you up for a day of exploration.
The bathroom has a splendid roll top bath, perfect for a long soak after a day at the beach, together with an overhead shower. There is underfloor heating, a washbasin, WC, and heated towel rail.
A necessity for wet swimming things and muddy boots, the utility room houses those bits and bobs that you might need during your stay including a washer-dryer, steam iron, ironing board and airer.
First Floor
The largest of the two bedrooms has a 5ft double bed with memory foam mattress and all seasons duvet and pillows. A wardrobe and chest of drawers provide ample space for clothing. There is also a TV with Freeview.
In the twin room there are white wooden single beds with all seasons duvets and pillows. There is also a small chest of drawers and a built-in wardrobe.
Outside
Strand Cottage benefits from an enclosed rear garden with views up to the cliff-top coastal path. There is a garden table with chairs, parasol, charcoal BBQ and chimineas, perfect for al fresco dining.
Extras
Strand Cottage is gas centrally heated throughout.
There is wireless broadband, and Vodafone mobile coverage; all other mobile providers have limited coverage throughout the village.
Whilst a highchair and travel cot are available on request, please note that stairgates and cot linen are not provided.
